The Harlem Renaissance was the birth of the biggest neighbor of blacks in the world that transformed the north with their art and music, but the biggest place they transformed was Harlem. It started with white real estate agent trying to sell house but no one would buy so then black real estate agents would buy then sell for cheaper. And with the jobs opening the blacks moved up bought house in Harlem and got jobs. With the economy improving the middle class blacks prospered and with the north being less racial more people moved to the north. With Harlem becoming so large with blacks people felt scared especially the KKK they felt as if the blacks had to much power. And with the neighborhood being mainly blacks the other blacks felt more comfortable.
In 1930 the great depression started and the prosperity of the 1920s ended for almost everyone. And the depression affected Harlem seriously, but the achievements of art and music did not die like everything else it stayed for longest time.
